She doesn’t cry for water.
Her rivers and oceans run deep.
She doesn’t cry for food.
Her soil grows everything she needs.

Then why is she crying?
Her tenants have stopped trying.
They love their construction and pollution.
All in the name of progress and evolution.

They have worn her down.
They have de-jeweled her crown.
They won’t listen to her cries.
Our Mother Earth slowly dies.
